Entries for the 2025 awards are reviewed based on work produced between April 15, 2024 and April 2, 2025. The deadline for submission is Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. EDT (3:59 a.m. UTC).

Finalists will be announced in August and winners will be honored both in a virtual event late August and during the 2025 Online Journalism Awards luncheon at ONA25 in New Orleans. Join our newsletter, ONA Community Slack or follow us on LinkedIn and be the first to know updates.

Each year we select a diverse set of volunteers to kickstart the review process and serve on OJA judging panels who ultimately select the finalists and winners. The deadline to apply is May 15, 2025 at 11:59 pm EDT (03:59 am UTC).
