Entries for the 2026 awards are now open! Entries for the 2026 awards are reviewed based on work produced between April 3, 2025 and March 30, 2026. The deadline for submission is Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EDT (3:59 a.m. UTC).

Finalists will be announced in the fall. Winners will be recognized through both a virtual event and a live Online Journalism Awards celebration, with details for both to be announced soon. Join our newsletter, ONA Community Slack or follow us on LinkedIn and be the first to know updates.

Volunteer to be a 2026 screener or judge
Each year we select a diverse set of volunteers to kickstart the review process and serve on OJA judging panels who ultimately select the finalists and winners. The deadline to apply is May 14, 2026 at 11:59 pm EDT (03:59 am UTC).
